Sechelt NOT Hiring Tracy Samra

Samra was expected to start work sometime this month.

Not overly surprising… Nanaimo News Now reporting Shishalh First Nation in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast will NOT be hiring Nanaimo CAO Tracy Samra. Samra was expected to start work sometime this month. Last week, Samra was arrested for allegedly threatening Mayor Bill McKay and a council member. Charges have not yet been laid… she was released from custody on a promise to appear in court. A special prosecutor has been appointed in the investigation.

Sechelt Nation coun. Keith Julius confirms they will no longer be hiring current #Nanaimo CAO Tracy Samra. Was announced last week they would be. Did not elaborate on why. Samra remains on paid leave from Nanaimo
